Silverwood Lake

Silverwood Lake was formed by the 249-foot Cedar Springs Dam. At 3,350 feet, it is the highest reservoir in the State Water Project.

The lake features hiking trails, swimming beaches and designated areas for boating, waterskiing and fishing. There is a marina with a launch ramp, boat and equipment rentals, and a store. The park has picnic areas, including three that can be reached only by boat, no fires or stoves are allowed in boat-in areas. The lake has trout, large-mouth bass, crappie and catfish.

The lake attracts waterfowl, raptors and songbirds. Canada Geese and an occasional bald eagle can be seen in the area

The park is located via Highway 138, 11 miles east of I-15; or 20 miles north of San Bernardino via Highways 18 & 138.

DOGWOOD

This campground is located 20 miles Northeast of San Bernardino, CA in the San Bernardino National Forest. The campground was completely remodeled in 2004, complete with modern restrooms, showers, & several electric hook-ups for RV's. Activities include Interpretive programs on Friday and Saturday nights, Hiking trails, 15 minutes away from Lake Gregory, with boating, fishing and a water slide park. Lake Arrowhead village, with it's fine dinning and quaint shops is only 5 minutes away.

NORTH SHORE

This campground is located 23 miles Northeast of San Bernardino in the San Bernardino National Forrest, 3 miles from Lake Arrowhead Village, and 20 minutes to Lake Gregory with fishing, boat rentals and a water slide park. Campground has modern restrooms and running water.

Located in the San Bernardino Mountains. Restrooms are provided. Group camping is not available.

From San Bernardino CA, take Highway 18 about 20 miles to Lake Arrowhead turnoff. Take Highway 173 for 5 miles to northeast side of the lake. Turn right on Hospital Road and follow it to the campground.

 


CRAB FLATS

This primitive campground is an off roaders paradise, with miles of off road trails for the beginner or the experienced rider. Located 8 miles from Green Valley Lake in the San Bernardino National Forrest.

Located in the San Bernardino Mountains, near the town of Arrowbear. Campground is situated in tall pine, oak and cedar trees on a dirt road. Restrooms are provided and drinking water are provided. Campground host is on site. Off-road vehicle trails are nearby. Valley Lake is approximately six miles away. There is no overflow parking. No large RVs. This campground is for off-road vehicle oriented camping.

Take Freeway to 330 North. Go through Running Springs and Arrowbear, CA, to Green Valley Road. Turn left, go approximately 4 miles to Crab Flats Campground sign at Forestry dirt road. Turn left and go 4-1/2 miles to the campground.

Take I-10 east (State Hwy 330) to Running Springs, CA. Take State Hwy 18 to Big Bear Lake Dam. Turn right on State Hwy 18 for 3 miles and turn on Tulip Lane. Turn right on Mill Creek Road (2N10), go 4 miles and turn right on 2N86 for a short distance. Turn on 2N86A to campsite.
